Ownership and reliability

  • Everybody behaves as an owner with respect to the area or tasks he or she is responsible for.
  • If somebody sees a problem, issue, question, or possibility for improvement anywhere, he or she should resolve it, or bring it to the attention of others. There is nothing such as “that’s not my job”.

Excellence seeking

  • We want to deliver products and services which are of highest quality, and continuously improve them. Everybody should strive for excellence in everything he or she does and hold all others accountable to such standard.
  • Attention to the last detail is part of the excellence – otherwise, all the small mistakes start to accumulate and compound each other.
  • Mistakes are the price of learning – it’s ok to do them from time to time, but it’s unacceptable not to learn from them.

Idea meritocracy and extreme open-mindedness, honesty and transparency

  • The best idea wins. We should foster psychological safety in our team, so everybody feels safe to voice his or her opinion or challenge others. No idea or question is stupid enough.
  • Always listen and be respectful of the opinions of others. The subsequent debate shall consider each idea’s based on its merits.
  • Everybody should be interested in constant learning and personal growth and thus be receptive to the constructive feedback from others.

Client focus

  • We are always acting in the best interests of our clients. We are eager to accept challenges.
  • We seek long-term positive relationships. We don't maximize short-term revenue or anything else at the expense of such relationship.
  • Yet, we select our clients the same way they select us. We will terminate relationships with clients who consistently behave in abusive, dishonest, or non-collaborative manner. The well-being and morale of our team is more important than additional revenue.

Clear and concise communication

  • Everybody has to be a great communicator, both internally within the team as well as externally towards clients.
  • In particular, good written communication is very important, because we often work remotely. Further, we have to be very responsive to our clients – it’s especially important at the beginning of each project to win their trust, and to show to them that cooperation on mostly remote basis won’t be a problem.

Scalability and knowledge sharing

  • Everybody has to ensure that all his or her work is scalable, understandable, and transferable to others. We create summaries, checklists, manuals, and documented processes.
  • The value of information sitting only in an individual's head is zero.
